100th Anniversary of San Francisco Commemorated by Engineers and Scientists
« Money, Money, Money! | Main | ASCE Urges GSA to Remove Engineering Services from Federal Supply Schedule »April 18th marks the 100th Anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and more than 3,000engineers, scientists and emergency managers are commemorating the event with a policy and technical conference in San Francisico. Today, Commemoration Day (April 18th) includes plenary sessions with CA Gov. Schwarzenegger, SF Mayor Gavin Newsom, and Sen. Dianne Feinstein and a U.S. Senate field hearing on Earthquake preparedness.
ASCE staff and members of the NEHRP Coalition are participating in the events and we'll be providing updates from the conference in this blog all week.
