Vision 2025

Choosing to determine their profession's future rather than have it decided for them, civil engineering leaders gathered in July 2006 for the Summit on the Future of Civil Engineering. Detailed in a published report, The Vision for Civil Engineering in 2025, the result envisions civil engineers of 2025 as master builders, environmental stewards, innovators and integrators. Demonstrating strong leadership will be required if civil engineers are to have the stature needed to fulfill this vision and maintain society's trust as the professionals responsible for creating a sustainable world and enhancing quality of life.
